This is modified GRF(1-29) carrying a maleimidopropionyl drug affinity complex at the C-terminal lysine. The maleimide reacts with a free cysteine thiol on circulating serum albumin, tethering the peptide to a carrier protein with a half-life measured in weeks. The functional consequence is a shift from pulsatile to sustained receptor exposure, which is a categorically different experimental condition rather than simply a longer-lasting version of the same thing.

The quality-critical variable is maleimide integrity. The maleimide ring hydrolyses on exposure to moisture, and hydrolysed material will not conjugate to albumin — it becomes, functionally, an expensive no-DAC preparation. We assay maleimide integrity by conjugation efficiency against a thiol standard on every lot and report the percentage, and we ship this product with desiccant regardless of order size.
